Myrmeen is a magician who left the Tangled Wood when she realized that dragons from other flights were much easier to trick than her fellow shadow dragons. She prefers illusion and spectacle to witchery, and several of the clan witches look down on her for what they consider to be low magic. She doesn't really mind - she's not easily ruffled, and she makes a good living with her magic shows.

Her best friend is Julia, a fellow entertainer who sometimes performs alongside her. She's friendly with the shopkeepers in the central woods, especially Ele. Strangely, she's not friends with Moth, the clan's other practitioner of shadow magic, despite the fact that they have both lived in Deepwoods for quite a long time. Despite the length of their acquaintanceship, Myrmeen tends to make Moth nervous.
