Briathos and his family are quite unique, to say the least. Half angel and half normal dragon, Briathos was hatched with many unusual angelic abilities, specifically those relating to combat. It's these abilities that led to him becoming an official warrior of the clan, working under Viceroy to fight and protect the clan. He is a rather serious-natured and devoted dragon with what others call an air of intimidation (something he most likely picked up from his father Nathaniel). He is also rather closed-off, having suffered through unfortunate traumatic events within his family. His sister, Apollyon, found herself led down a path of evil both by her impressionable nature and unstable nephilim genes. Using her impressively strong angel powers to commit horrific acts and feeling more at home with demons than angels, her fellow angel dragons had no choice but to "put her down." This understandably left some serious mental and emotional scars on Briathos, and he has since sworn vengeance on all demonic or otherwise evil dragons, the ones who ultimately led his sister down such a bloody path. Yet deep down, he knows that in the end she would have taken the same path regardless of outside influences; hunting demons is all he can do to find some form of closure.
