Camilla, the maiden of the Vale and the keeper of the butterflies.
As the daughter of Lord Miroslav and Lady Chardonnay everybody expected her to follow on her father's footsteps and become a strong leader for the clan. For some time, this was the case. She dutifully followed her parents' orders and happily filled her role as a future monarch. The Borderlands were a wild place full of wonder - a perfect playground for the young princess and his little brother. She loved playing outside and chasing butterflies.
Over time things changed. His father isolated himself from the council and the little affection he had shown to his family before now dissappeared. Then there was also the thing with Laurence.
The three siblings had always had a great relationship but as they grew older, it became clear that the adopted brother of Camilla and Micolash didn't want anything to do with them anymore. This broke Camilla's heart because she was very fond of her brothers.
One day she just couldn't take it anymore and ran away from the home that had become so gloomy and strange. She found herself in the Vale of the Beast. The dragons there seemed different from the warriors and soldiers of the Borderlands. A little less serious. A little happier.
Eventually he wondered into the Gardens. Captivated by the beauty of the trees and flowers, she asked the gardener's permission to stay for a while. At first he refused but changed his mind the next day when he saw that Camilla had lured hundreds of colourful butterflies from the forest with her magic. She made the gardens her home and devotes a generous amount of time to tending its flowers.
After she left home her family stopped talking to her. Altough she is happy living with her grandfather, she would still like to reconcile with the rest of her kin one day.

"Stranger... Could you give this flower to my father, should you see him?"
