Lise Scryer--the art of scrying Lise is as deep and mysterious as the dark waters of the sea. Taking his mystic ability very seriously, Lise hardly ever leaves his den to visit others. Usually he has them come to him, in his own den, as his scrying bowl is all set up in there. He uses a reflective pool of water to look into other's futures, and predict what may come. He can tell fortunes in any reflective surface, such as a mirror or crystal ball, but he enjoys using water more than the others. When he tells others fortunes, he goes into an almost hypnotic state, only snapping out of it when the vision ends. This sometimes makes others uneasy, as his eyes usually roll back into his skull, giving him quite a frightening appearance. Lise is a bit of an antisocial dragon, preferring silence as his company. He doesn't mind interact with other dragons, but he prefers to be alone. When he does interact, he's quiet and very polite, and has quite the deep, soothing voice. He enjoys rainy days, and it's not uncommon to see him staring into puddles on the ground, while the rain pours around him. Some say he's made a special deal with the Tidelord, exchanging his emotions for greater seer abilities... Relationships  Opal - Mate The two Hydromancers were brought together by their readings, but their relationship was rocky at first. The emotionally dependent yet prideful Opal wouldn't reveal her feelings easily, and the quiet, distant Lise felt no need to pry. The two were about as distant as two could be in a relationship. But when on their travels they were attacked and separated, Opal had to admit her stubbornness was obstructing her, and Lise realized that Opal stirred emotions and worldly cares he thought were long abandoned, and realized he needed her. Once together again, the two confessed to their faults, and agreed to be more open and talkative. Of course, they're not without their rough spots still. Opal managed to stir emotions in Lise that he thought he'd long left behind. She acts as a warm flame in a cold, desolate, endless world. Lise takes comfort and solace in this, but often worries that the flame, if too strong, will burn him up. |
