Personality

Jost values pacifism over all else; you'd be hard-pressed to illicit any kind of violence or anger from him. He tends to be blunt and insensitive, but it's not intentional. He doesn't know any other way to talk. Politeness is the least of his priorities.

He's obsessed with preserving plant and animal life, refusing to kill anything. He even cultivates the rarer plants so that they don't become extinct, and he's an excellent gardener. He might as well be a plant himself because he absolutely loves sunlight.

Jost is constantly after his dream mate, seeking to woo her and convince her to commit to him and only him. He's gone as far as creating a replica of her out of flowers, but the only reaction he's gotten is a disdainful glance. He's still convinced that she likes him.

Background

---

Hatched in a Lightning clan, Jost was immediately the odd dragon out. From a young age, he was obsessed with plants and nature, while his siblings played in the rain and cheered for lightning.

Seeing him as an outsider, his clan cast him out, leaving him to wander. He wandered for a few months, taking joys from the wilds he passed through, before eventually setting in a wind clan. There, a female caught his eye; her name was Regal, and she was glorious in his eyes. It took surprisingly little effort to win her over, and the two bore a clutch of three eggs. However, their relationship was shattered when Regal was chosen to be exalted, and Jost was left alone with his children, no mother to raise them. When his children were exalted, he found himself completely alone.

Then, Kaya came into his life, and the light returned to his mind. She was a beautiful dragon, both in mind and body. She was perfect. She almost matched Regal's glory, and he devoted himself to wooing her.

It's a shame she's playing hard-to-get.
