sagi has taken a special interest in collectibles since settling in clan horesh. he'll never call them collectibles, of course--"tools and artifacts, things of import!"--is what he tells anyone who scoffs at his varied smattering of ancient jewelry, rudimentary weapons, new fangled gadgets, and so forth. he has even acquired a small amount of enchanted apparel he's dated to primitive fourth age mages from all sornieth over. he dotes on his collection of...things with a father's love. he dusts, polishes, and shields his collection from the sunbeam ruins' harsh rays with great fervor and also pride. his obvious affinity for history has proved useful to the clan's many mages and scholars, as well as curious hatchlings. sagi is a limitless fount of knowledge and will go to great lengths to share that knowledge with anyone who enters earshot. he spends a great deal of money adding to his collection of tools and artifacts. horesh couriers begrudgingly follow sagi's leads on new additions, which is a hefty fee on its own. but sagi always seems to make back his coin trifold by selling off duplicate and extra items. he has a knack for business. sagi uses his profits for new acquisitions and travel expenses, for he must leave clan boundaries to find scholars in his field. he has a favored journal in which he writes down notes on all subject matter, giving himself an expansive amount of talking points for any academic situation. ________________________________________ |

as it happened, the ring was of some value. his own research led him to discover that he had obtained a ring of free form. crafted by the shadow mages of old, it allows the user to morph into a smaller size than their actual form. it supported his own theories on precursory arcane enchantments in the tangled wood, which is to say that the first shadow mages experimented foremost with illusory magics. magics that have little practical applications now or even then, but still quite complex to use. he stored the ring in the proper fashion, tucked it in the back of his display room, and forgot about it for a long time. it wasn't until a conversation with lev that sagi remembered he had the ring in the first place. he left lev for but a moment to retrieve the thing for proof until...huh? he opened the ring box and found it empty. he was immediately set into a frenzy, cursing as he ripped drawer after drawer open to locate an artifact that had increased tenfold in value since he first appraised. he's had eyphah searching for months in the vain hope that she can track down its whereabouts. her most recent lead pinpoints a shadow clan not too far from where he originally purchased the ring...and that clan is called home by a mage he met and entertained many years ago. he admired the fae quite a bit for his curious nature and innate abilities. but he doesn't admire sticky hands quite so much...perhaps it's time to get reacquainted. ________________________________________ |
