Biography
Quote:
Where other dragons would prefer to socialize or play games, Berylla is perfectly content to stay in her comfy den, write, and enjoy the peace and quiet. As the clan’s scribe, she is tasked with keeping records of its history (along with more mundane things, like when the clan needs more Satin Mice). Berylla has always been an introvert, and much prefers the soft scratching of her quill on paper over other dragons’ chatter.
Which is why Fyodor’s continued pestering makes Berylla want to pull her mane out. The vain Pearlcatcher is always barging into her den and insisting on reading over her shoulder as she writes- and when he’s not snooping, he’s telling her to include more of his daring, dangerous exploits in the clan’s records. Berylla sees through his tall tales, thankfully, even to the extent where she sees through his flirting- much to Fyodor’s annoyance.
Not that that ever stops him. Fyodor is constantly tripping over himself to give her little gifts -anything to get her to write more about him- and it’s gotten to the point where Berylla will take the presents but still not write about him.
It serves him right, for bugging her constantly.
When not writing about the clan, Berylla entertains herself by writing short fiction stories. She’s too shy to ever really talk about them, but secretly she hopes that one day she might be able to get them bound into a collection.
Rune is the only other dragon who has read them -and frankly, she’s the only other dragon who even knows about them- and she insists that they’re amazing even when Berylla protests. Rune is Berylla’s biggest fan, and sometimes she’ll visit her den so they can talk for hours about the stories and the characters. Berylla enjoys having someone else to bounce ideas off of- and through these conversations, the two have forged a strong friendship. They have a wealth of inside jokes from Berylla’s stories, ones that can instantly incapacitate both of them with giggles. No one else in the clan gets it, but they’re all glad that Berylla has someone she can laugh with.
