Biography

Wildclaws are strong fighters: Riodinid is squishy and frail, expert neither in physical combat nor combat magic.
Wildclaws are not scholarly: Riodinid is a xylomancer who occasionally dabbles in tasseomancy.
Riodinid is Lightning-element: Xylomancy involves fire, tasseomancy involves water, and both require plants.
Genera and Egutegi were merely travellers who stopped a bit at the Solar Solar, and the nest they had together wasn't even in the Sunbeam Ruins: yet Riodinid felt so strongly drawn by the Solar Solar's gestalt that he returned there, alone of his clutchmates. 		.....................................

for eighteen festivals the solar solar has wondered: what is the mage with the cyan eyes plotting? and why is he wearing a hideous tundra-fur sweater under his tunic? perhaps they should have wondered "what is he hiding from the gestalt?" because his plot was "keep my secret hidden". he felt the pull of the gestalt and did not follow his siblings to the lightweaver's service, even though he had never been in the solar solar and his parents had only stayed there briefly, but that explains why he came, not why he stayed.
he stayed because he would be the only lightning-element dragon
in a clan with no other lightning-element dragons no one could tell that his own magic was not lightning-auspiced
since he is not only not a warrior but weaker than average in combat, no one realized that when he cast Shock it did half-damage to the things to which it should do twice-damage, and none at all to the things to which it should do half-damage, and no one thought to teach him Envenom because no one thought he could learn it
the spirit of lightning stays with him but it knows his secret
even maxint, for whom he brewed a bogsneak scroll, does not know his secret, or realize that part of the reason he stays so close to her is so that her very powerful nature attunement will explain away anything unusual that happens around him
only two dragons know his secret and neither are of the solar solar: baldwin has guessed but kept quiet (after all he invented a breed without the deities' assistance!) and hellbender, also a bogsneak
the only good his hatching-attunement does him is provide him with resistance to others' magic
and as for the sweater, he finds the fuzziness comforting, but will never admit that (and unlike his other secret no one has guessed this one)
when a voltaic ambassador joined the solar solar it found riodinid strangely comforting and he is not explaining that that's because he's not a walking emp like many lightning dragons
he is very conflicted about carrying the standard of the stormcatcher for the clan but the voltaic ambassador insisted (on the other hand the highland gem guardian is hanging out with one of the clan's children, so... win some lose some)
