Sliraton

Sliraton is the oldest non-family member of The Stormworks Union, and, technically, she never discussed joining in with Chufa or Faralysa at all, for she found her charge in Chufa himself. After she had spent unusually little time on her search, she came upon Chufa and Faralysa as they were still struggling to make ends meet. The two had made their way to do some trading in the Trading Post, where Sliraton had also wandered, by a hunch. Upon seeing the two, she began following them, for something had clicked within the guardian. Before long, she bluntly stepped forward, and proclaimed that Chufa is now her charge and as such she will be accompanying them from now on. After an abrupt confusion and a few days of trying to avoid the guardian, Chufa and Faralysa had come to the realization that she was there to stay. Her initial stay in the lair consisted mostly of her developing ways to better protect it from would-be threats, ranging from raiding parties to insect swarms. It did not take long for Sliraton to specialize in all things related to security, and as the overseer of it all, she became The Chief Head of Security. Sometimes, she is also called "boss lady" by her subordinates.

Sliraton is very 'on-point' with her talk, and at first appears to have no sense of humor whatsoever. She prefers to talk clearly and calmly, avoiding needless chit-chat. While she seems very stoic at first, she is actually quite easy to amuse, but she is simply quite poor at showing it. She rarely laughs, and usually only lets out little huffs. However, her ice-breaking capabilities (when she chooses to do so) are off-the-charts, delivered out of the blue with such impeccable timing and wit, that it absolutely shocks those not prepared for it. And frankly, even those who are.

Often, she quietly stands guard beside, behind, front, below or above Chufa. Over time, she has accepted that she needs not physically be so close to Chufa ALL THE TIME, and can comfortably stay in her office or do patrols. Chufa and Faralysa found her presence more than intrusive at first, but over the time they have gotten used to her always being there, and frankly, it has been a lifesaver at times.

As The Chief Head of Security, Sliraton takes her duties extremely seriously. She has begun to oversee basic combat training for all dragons within the lair & The Stormworks Union employess. " Everyone must be at least capable of defending themselves with their respective elemental strikes, be it up close or from afar. Not only yours, but your friends, your colleagues, your loved one's safety might depend on it one day." So, no matter the occupation, everyone goes through her three step training course.
1. Combat studies: known threats and workplace hazards, elemental weaknesses and strengths, dragon species weaknesses and strengths.
2. Combat training: Basic melee or ranged training, with a few runs against weak prey after they are ready. All overseen by Sliraton so there really is no real danger.
3. Elemental Affinity training: The training is not over until all dragons can tap at least on a basic level on their elemental type.
Bonus lesson: A group of trainees can try to take on Sliraton herself if they feel cocky. This lesson is meant to teach humility and wisdom, and above all, that despite some training, sometimes the best course of action is to run and avoid a fight.
While she admits that with the competent security force that they have at The Stormworks Union any real threat would be dealt with her band of professionals, the extra level of security granted from her training could still prove useful in times of crisis. She wishes that such a day will never come.

She has mated for life with Scaraga, who she considers an equal in all terms, though she has a habit of teasing him due to their elemental difference. The two turn into uncharacteristic chatterboxes with each other, and Scaraga delights in sneaking around and giving Sliraton a scare once in a while. More often than once has that lead to Scaraga being slammed against a wall due to a reflex. He can take it, though.
