"What wonders exist on the other side?"

A native of the Southern Icefield, Sweetpea always loved stories of spirits and made a career of studying them when she grew older, moving away from fictional tales to academic accounts of the little that was proven about the spirit realm. This knowledge proved handy when one of her childhood friends was taken by the Queen of the snow spirits because of a transgression he had committed against her, as she was able to cross into the spirit realm, locate the Queen, and negotiate his return.

Impressed by her knowledge, the Queen agreed to release her friend provided that she carry a message for her to the spirit ambassadors on the island of Prufrock - the island's exorcists had recently strengthened the wards around the territory, and though she was loathe to admit it, the Queen did not possess the strength to pass through them.

Once her message had been safely delivered and she had confirmed that her friend had been released from captivity, Sweetpea decided to remain on the island - where else would she get the chance to live among spirits, after all? Though some of the spirits remain aloof to her innocent questioning, others are happy to satisfy her curiosity, though some are tricksters and might not be telling her entirely factual information - something she well knows, as this is a common aspect of any tale involving spirits.

Her mate Sweetwilliam and her friends Huck and Joad share her love of stories.
