Biography

Quote:
Cernu is a quiet fellow, but possesses a very advanced intelligence. However, instead of burying himself in quantum physics or macroeconomics, he much prefers folklore and fairytales. Others might find that silly, but he pays no heed. He is very content to sit down on the grass with a good book, drinking a floral tea, on a bright summer's day. In his youth, he spent much of his time with his mother, listening to her reading him stories about the stars and magic.

Realizing by adulthood that his strange mix of colors made clans less likely to want him, he asked his parents if he could travel the world. They of course agreed. Traveling the world sounded better the more he thought about it! This way he could learn all kinds of folklore and stories from other clans. His parents of course told him he'd always have a space if he returned home (Ithaca, 37298) but they also blessed his travels and hoped he'd find his true home one day.

JOURNAL:
  • Log Date 7/30/16: I've just started this journal in hopes to document the stories and lore I learn from the clans to which I travel. I am both nervous and excited to start my journeys. Will I find my true clan one day? Or will I travel for the rest of my days? Which would I prefer? I have so much to learn and I'm eager to start.
  • Log Date 8/4/16 : Log entry 2. First off, wow, fire dragons sure know how to party! So, I was taken in by a fire lair located on the border of Flamecaller and Tidelord. I suppose they were rowdy people, but nice enough to give me free drinks and place to rest for a few days. Although, I'm regretting my choice on challenging one of their miner's to a drinking contest- they drank me under the table! I've also learned that fire dragons take baths in pools of lava, which might I add is terrifying. I'm surprised their fur and skin doesn't just burn right off!! One of them even tried to get me to go into one of these "relaxing, warm bubble baths" but I declined as politely as I could. I definitely won't forget this adventure, but I think it's time that I move on to the next lair. -Cernu
  • Log Date 8 / 4 / 16 : Log Entry 3. I'm..not quite sure if I just ended up moving in a circle? I'm back in Starfall Isles but this time I'm with an awfully suspicious clan. I mean no insult, really! The nice old guardian was the one who offered to let me stay at no cost, after all. But there's also a bunch of terrifying ridgebacks I'd rather not get into a conversation with. One of them seemed pretty alright. There's also a lot of Imperials and Skydancers here, and they treated me to a really nice show of dances and told grand tales of where they came from my first night. The Sanctuary houses a lot of travellers! But I swear I've seen some of their faces somewhere...? - Cernu
  • Log Date 8 / 5 / 16 : Log Entry 4 What a day! Well, it really wasn't that active of a day since I stayed in the Sanctuary most of the time babystting the hatchlings but wow they're a rowdy bunch. Kudos to those that babysit them all the time; care taking is hard work that every dragon should appreciate. I was already starting to get restless, though, so I began packing. Everyone seemed dismayed I was leaving but they wished me well anyways, how nice. Their craftsman even gifted me a vest as a going away gift! What a generous bunch. It was only when I was well on my way to my next destination did I finally recall where I've seen some of the friendly faces I've roomed with. On wanted posters. Yikes. Hopefully the next clan won't have any shady characters.
  • Log Date 4 / 20 / 17 : Log Entry 5: I been at the clan of the guardian Markuv. It has been a long while since I have written in my log and I must admit...much has happened. I have listened to many of the stories that that Markuv has slowly told me and learned how best to read the stars. I have stayed long in this clan however because of Papel. She has taken a liking to me and we have had many children together. Most of our children have gone to fight for the Arcanist but I do not mind. Papel warms me with tails of adventure and cunning. She is a beautiful fae and I will miss her when I am forced to move on. Which I fear I shall have to if this unseasonable famine continues. Papel has given me a mystical item that granted me the marking of Lace. I believe she thinks that I shall have to move on as well. Perhaps however we shall meet again or perhaps I shall take her with me on our travels. I am unsure and will continue this entry before I leave.
  • Log Date 5 / 22 / 20 : Log Entry 6: It has been a long time since I have written in my journal last. I have spent many a year here at the lair of Markuv. My love, Papel has decided that we both need to move on. It has taken much discussion and time but...in the end it was a mutual decision. We have had many children together and loved each other for a long time before we have grown apart. Famines have come and gone but we have remained the same. The clan has banded together and given me gifts. I will be returning with a pair of reading glasses and a headband added to my luggage. It has been a long road but I hope that the journey continues on and will lead me to more adventure.
