Clan Matriarch

B I O G R A P H Y

Aphyria was the one to find her clan a home, so it was her destiny to become the clan leader. A Mirror named Zephyr joined her and even became mates for awhile, but the relationship did not work out and it was obvious that Aphyria regarded Zephyr as a friend. The duo split apart but were content and the clan, called Isles of Memoria, flourished. Aphyria was proud and loved her clan but felt that the members sans Zephyr were slightly scared of her due to her high position in the clan. It saddened her that they felt that way and tried to dispell that notion. One day while out in the woods to clear her mind, she stumbled upon a Nocturne named Jackal. She saw Jackal do a miraculous thing. He used magic to create illusions. That type of magic can only be used by one's that have been blessed with the gift of being an illusionist. It was obvious that Jackal was inexperienced with magic. Long story short, Aphyria decided to help Jackal control his magic.

They trained for months and ended up becoming close friends. In fact they were practically best friends. Then, tragedy struck. A nameless dragon from Jackal's old clan had tracked him down seeking to kill him. Jackal's old clan saw his power as a danger. That coupled with the fact that Jackal has tricked the dragon multiple times led to him snapping. He came across the two of them training and attacked. Aphyria and Jackal tried to fight back, but it was useless. Jackal was killed right in front of Aphyria. Enraged, Aphyria used an ancient and powerful dark spell to kill the dragon. In a fit of despair, Aphyria used one of the darkest spells possible to bring back Jackal, a resurrection spell. It worked but there were consequences for both. First of all, Jackal had gems that formed that helps stabilize his soul and keeps him rooted to his body. Jackal had also lost most of his memories including the memories of Aphyria and him dying. Aphyria on the other hand, would be considered monsterous to many. Her bones stick out of her body like armour. A reminder for the mistakes she has made and will forever live with the consequences. It devastated Queen Aphyria.

B I O G R A P H Y

Aphyria seems cold to most, due to her distancing herself from others. The "accident" has lead her to be afraid of having close friends. She doesn't want to repeat the past. She is intelligent both academically and within politics. To those that know her well enough, shes more outgoing, but not by much. She puts high standards upon herself which causes her a lot of stress. During her free time she loves to read and study the stars. When one of the hatchlings in the clan, Margarita, started to refer to her as her mother, everyone was shocked. They were even more shocked when Aphyria continued to allow Margie to continue referring her as her mother. Many asked Aphyria why, but she would either say that Margie is merely a hatchling and she'll figure it out soon enough or ask a question to have the other dragon forget what they even asked in the first place. One thing Aphyria is good at is leading others away from her personal business.

The truth is that Aphyria could not bear to tell the small hatchling to stop calling her mother. She's always been fond of hatchlings and how very little bothers them. That and she's sure that no matter what, Margie will always think of her as her mother since she was with Jeremiah when she hatched. Now, Aphyria considers herself to be Margie's mother and looks after her with Jeremiah. To say it was awkward between Aphyria and Jeremiah is a complete understatement. It is still awkward between them but only when someone mentions the fact that Aphyria is the clan matriarch and Jeremiah works for her.
