Maelog took a deep breath. He'd have crossed his claws, or wings, or something, but last time he'd tried that it had taken the clan three weeks to detangle him, so better not.
After all, all he had to do was follow the others -no, no, get ahead of them, but he'd stick to following, that was safer- not wrap around the poles, and not tie himself into knots. He already had 'not going in a straight line' down, it had never been his strong point, might come in handy in Slalom, he'd been told.
Equipped with the appropriate safety gear: goggles and his favourite Starsilk socks, he was about ready to go. Well, no, he wasn't, but everybody else was so he kinda had to.
Hanging onto his Luminax plushie for dear life and hoping the black cat that had jumped on his head at the last minute would bring him luck, he checked where the starting line was, and attempted to at least point in the right direction.
Day 7: Slalom
