Despite his pale white eyes, Absinthe has none of the stoicism expected of an Ice dragon. Nor, on the other hand, does he match the dour stereotype of Plague. Instead, Absinthe is jovial and surprisingly talkative to dragons from other flights - possibly because he's often been made to feel as if he himself is less authentically Plague because of his birth flight. This is in spite of the fact that the clan who raised him is one of the Plaguebringer's most devout, while also the most secretive: Quarantine Zone #128 holds countless mysteries, many to which Absinthe is privy. In typical Plague fashion, however, his life has not been without challenges. Absinthe completely lacks the ability to harness Plague magic, so he's had to make do with a combination of bluffing and sheer grit. And despite a pilgrimage to the Seedscar to see what he could learn, he has no Nature magic to help him with growing the plants he turns into potent brews. All of this has combined to make him a much more patient adult than he was as a hatchling - growing plants and nurturing bacteria, Absinthe claims, is a conversation. You can't force either to your will. No one else in his current clan understands what he means, but it's fine. He knows he'll win them over with actions if not words. |
 | Absinthe knows Moth from his time at Quarantine Zone #128. Though they appear to be close friends on the surface, Moth seems to hold Absinthe at arm's length, suspecting he stole secrets above his security clearance. Absinthe just laughs these accusations off. |
