Biography
The Hopeless Romantic, The Castaway Son
Once the apprentice of the now-retired Archmage of Adavar, Tomo spent his fledgling days delivering mail to other clans and doing any other thing his grandfather ordered him to.
Courier duty was by far better than alphabetically reorganising every single book and scroll in Novis' library, or inhaling copious amounts of dust and rock particles when dusting the medicine shelves, and Tomo found particular joy in sneaking peeks in the letters he delivered or convincing dragons he accompanied that their new lair was full of terrible, disgusting things. When resting between flights in the lairs he visited, he found himself drake-watching. Gazing curiously at the hustle and bustle of dragons going about their day. Though some dragons did not hustle, nor bustle, and it was with those dragons that Tomo was most enthralled.
Particularly, Cana, a beautifully piebald pearlcatcher from their allied clan of Dramatica. He tried not to watch her, tried not to watch any Pearlcatchers, in fact — hideous, heart-thieving, second-hand Imperials, as his mother called them. But Cana was magnetic, and he found himself bounding after every opportunity that brought her closer to her.
Including leaving his family and his duties to trail after her in Dramatica.
