✘✘✘ Sugilite is a passionate young snapper who followed in his mother's footsteps to take up the trade of crafting beautiful perfumes.

As a young child, he was quite close with a blind musician from the clan of his birth. She told him how when one sense is removed, the others grow so much more acute, so her hearing was far above average. Sugilite was intrigued by this, and asked his mother Petarasite if the same idea couldn't be applied to ones sense of smell also. Petarasite invited him to try with her and began to teach him her trade, with Sugilite blindfolding himself whenever he could.

After a while it became clear that his theory was true. His ability to pick up subtle nuances in scents quickly outstripped his mother's, who proudly began applying the technique herself. Now grown, Sugilite is proud to spread his wings and bring his talents to another clan - nearly as proud as his loving mother is of him.

After joining the Horde Sugilite became infatuated with a lady snapper by the name of Carnelian. At first he didn't know her name, only the intoxicating dances she performed for the clan on special nights or during festivals. One night though he caught her dancing alone in her chambers and he couldn't help but look on, even knowing he perhaps shouldn't be. Amid a final twirl Carnelian stopped dead in her tracks, startled and embarrassed. "Y-you shouldn't have seen that, that dance isn't finished yet!", she muttered behind her claws shyly. "I'm so sorry, you're just.. so beautiful. The way you move, it's like it puts a trance upon me and I can't look away, please forgive me!", Sugilite said as he bowed his head, voice cracking, clearly still flustered from her movements. She approached him and laid her hand upon his shoulder. "It's okay, you just surprised me is all. I usually don't like others to see my dances until they're perfect, I'm just such a perfectionist that way. It takes a lot of courage for a snapper like me to perform in front of everyone in the first place so I need to make sure my every move is flawless first, do you understand?" Sugilite nodded, apologizing profusely before retreating to his chambers. He knew exactly how to win her heart - all it took was a scent made just for her. He stayed up all night concocting the perfect scent and put it in his most ornate bottle.

The next day outside of Carnelian's doorway was an ornate decanter decorated with a purple gemstone cork and wrapped in red and purple silks. There was a note attatched - "Every enchanting dancer needs their own signature perfume, I hope you like it as much as I like you." Carnelian had no need to wonder who this lovely gift came from, and she immediately brought it to her bedside to sample. Dabbing some upon her wrist her senses were immediately filled with bliss. Notes of citrus and woody musks filled the air, with underling florals - nothing was overpowering and everything was lovely. Carnelian must have spent at least an hour just lying in her chambers and taking in this lovely aroma. She had never received such a lovely gift before, she was so taken aback by it. That evening was her next dance and she was sure to wear this lovely scent. Stepping out to perform the scent of her wafted throughout the room, and as she began to dance her silks fluttered and swirled around, the scent making her dance even more entrancing. (wip)
