Biography

Claire wasn't from around the Starfall Isles, claiming to originally be from the Emberglow Hearth, like all Coatls. She joined Cristallina Cova after travelling from the distant Shifting Expanse, where the Lightning flight resides. The mysterious Coatl arrived with her companion, Lin, and another Coatl named Eric. She largely kept to herself and her companions, and still does now.

She was not, however, a real Coatl. She and her companion, Lin, used mimicry and magic to hide as such, along with the aid of Eric. In truth, Claire and Lin were Nocturne dragons. Although initially the Broodmother was displeased by this trickery, she understood why Eric and Balocco - the mate she had assigned to Lin - had chosen to hide the truth from the brood; ultimately, she decided to allow the Nocturnes to stay when their true form was revealed during the two thousandth and fourteenth Winter Solstice.
