bio ❧ Born of a Crested Eboncrow and Lesser Crow, Regis inherited the lesser’s brilliant eye spots and the ebon’s charge of strength. Though he is not truly either, he trained vigorously to earn his place within his flock, clawing his way to the top of the chains through harsh battles and scars a plenty. Unfortunately, Regis’ wings were his greatest weak point, and after a fellow flockmate damaged them during a spar, he’d been forced from the flock for fear of a weak link within the lines. Regis spent two years alone, wandering Sornieth and strengthening himself despite the hindrance to his magic capabilities. During his time in the Ashfall Waste, he met a blacksmith who built his attire, guarding his wings entirely from further harm by crafting the metal out of aluminum and low carbon mild steel. The reinforced ‘body armor’ was paid for in full, as Regis agreed to return to them anytime he had materials collected from his travels that would become useful to them. In his third year of solitude, the Jackdaw came across the Scarred Wastelands, and an albino lesser crow that he soon befriended. He and Mirkwood started off very rocky and unsure of each other, especially because Regis’ former interactions with crows had not been too pleasant once his magic was rendered useless. However, as he and Mirkwood began to travel together, he found himself warming up to the albino, perhaps even gaining feelings for him. Currently, Regis travels the Scarred Wastelands and assists Mirkwood with his studies of the Wyrmwound and its affects on the environment around them. Oftentimes, Regis is the one collecting items used for various potions and cocktails, even if his partner insists they’re for study and not something malicious. He finds himself growing greatly attached to Mirkwood, and would lay down his life to protect the much smaller crow from harm. “Is it wrong? What we’ve been doing here, Mirkwood?” “No, Regis. It is only wrong to those who do not wish to know the truth that lies within.”
