Locked away for her magic, Lena only escaped through a friend's mistake. She was taken in by the very same man who found Alistair, only to watch him and his order burn due to a traitor in their decisive battle. Angry and lost, she and Alistair were the only two survivors, now with a price on their head from the traitorous king.

It didn't take long for Lena to take charge. Given her resistance to being locked up again and Alistair's general inexperience, she was the natural choice. It took them all of a year to clear out the original enemies that they had been engineered to fight and to kill the king and replace him with his much more forgiving daughter.

It took two more years for Alistair to finally convince Lena to marry him. Stubborn as she was, she took a while to realize that, yes, she did actually love him. Now she's looking on a way to reverse their shortened lifespan and sterility in the hopes of living a normal life finally.

Guess who changed lore so she could have a happy ending?
