There is something odd about Odi, even for the ilk that calls themselves the Children of Pestilence. He seems very much a beast, with a one track mind for violence and bloodshed, completely unable to be reasoned with and only controlled by the Will of Sabaneta. Hate curls vividly through the air around, shining through his flesh like blazing heat. There is not a thing he does not seem to despise, and if left to his own devices he would kill everything around him, even those he seem to tolerate better like Dolor and Kamiti. Dolor is was the first to receive this strange leniency, and their relationship is one of mutual gain. Neither of the mirrors have really formed close personal relationships with others, and have yet to be apart since they met.

Well… with one exception in Odi’s case. He seems to have taken a liking to Kamiti. Sure this fondness won’t protect the other forever, since any rationality Odi might experience will eventually bow away to mindless destruction. Kamiti is also the only one besides Dolor who has had the pleasure of speaking with Odi in one of his more lucid moments, when he remembers what he used to be. Kamiti calls him by his old name; Akadh.

Before the Children Odi was somewhere else, and even before that he wasn’t even really Odi. He was a shade, and a powerful one at that. That was back when he was still whole and known as Akadh. He was imprisoned, but eventually managed to escape. His soul took a lot of damage, and the creature known as Odi is an amalgamation of more than one soul and thus heavily unstable.

In the time after his escape he bound himself to a marshland north in the Wasteland. There he was believed to be a vengeful spirit, or at least the vessel for one. Before Odi haunted the place, an Emperor had risen and been killed there. During the fight against the Emperor a lot of dragons died, which fueled the vengeful spirit idea. It is not completely wrong, since Odi did feed of the energy of despair and rage.

He made the place his Keep. Everyone that entered his Place of Power were killed, no mercy. Dolor was with him then, following him around like an oppressive shadow, a ghost. It was there they first became known as the Wraiths, and where Sabaneta found them.

They struck a deal, and Odi became the personal servant of Sabaneta. He does what she tells him, whatever she tells him. Since he has no conscience or even the hint of morality he does not question her. Where he slaughtered in his own name before, he now execute threats at her command. But despite this he is not an efficient Enforcer at all, he is far too ruled by his emotions. Dolor is what makes it work, without the machine, controlling him would be a phenomenal task.

Because for all intents and purposes, Odi is immortal. He has been dismembered, incinerated, drowned, electrocuted, bleed, starved, buried alive, anything the Lich could think of has been tested. And Odi always reforms, as good as new. His memories are unaffected, he never shows any lasting damage. Even magic seems useless against him.
This has created a rather reckless, and fearless creature. Odi will fight anything, no matter its power or size. Because in the end he will always outlast it. Sometimes it’s mistakenly believed he posses a greater strength than he should, but he does not have enhanced strength or agility, he simply ignores pain, and heal from any self-inflicted injuries.

Some of the more superstitious believe that he was hatched on the battlefield he once haunted, that the spirits of the fallen had latched onto him while he was still in the egg and all their rage and hunger for revenge is what makes him so volatile. And that they refuse to let him die before they are satisfied. Just as his ‘neighbours’ once believed him to be a vengeful spirit.

- Immortal: Trying to kill Odi is like trying to fill a bucket full of holes; frustrating and impossible. The Children have tested his regenerative abilities thoroughly, and have come to the conclusion he is simply immortal. When you can remake yourself from dust there is not much of a chance you can die.
