Messiah

"Hello," I say, bobbing my head and turning my cheek frills up and in, a typical - if cheerful - greeting.

"Hello," Messiah returns, bobbing her head as her cheeks work, trying to copy me. I hope she can maintain enough of her own personality to make this account worthwhile.

It turns out my fears are unfounded, as she tells me about herself. Her best friend, Rator, went to start his Search, and Messiah decided to go with him to give him some support. They traveled for some years, first down south to the Shifting Expanse, where they picked up Mytilene (who wanted to mix electricity and smithing) and moved to the Ashfall Wastes. There they stumbled upon the clan (in the midst of one of their isolationist periods) and Rator completed his Search - it was here in the Blacksand Annex. The clan would by no means deny a guardian the object of his Guard, and accepted the other two as long as they promised to obey their rules.

In temperment, I find Messiah is a little imposing, but ultimately friendly--just very confident. She helps plan the den and makes sure it maintains its integrity. She is best known for her redesign of the nesting grounds, which she was able to completely hide from the view of anyone who doesn't know where they are. Perhaps this is why the name was picked for her?
