The fawn dragon awoke on the beast's third cry, startled and tense. Slowly he made his way out of the safety of the clan's borders. There, in the darkness of the sky, stood a Talonok. Weak and bruised, the feathered beast let out another squall. But this one was far more anguished. The unfortunate creature was hurt, isolated, and desperately in need of help. Cautious, the Skydancer approached the injured intrusion. Almost reflexively, the small foe clutched its scythe. Prepared for the worst.
"No, No. I'm not going to hurt you"
The taupe dragon inched closer, eyeing the defensive creature. It went to release another sound, but this one only emerged a weep. A final plea.
"You poor thing." The skydancer froze in his steps, struck with pity. "I can help."
The Talonok lowered its weapon. Without anywhere to turn or anywhere to hide, it seemed this Skydancer was its only hope of survival. Hesitantly, the Reaper took a step towards the dragon. Wary but not without a level of trust.
"My name's Frost," He let out a silent sigh of relief. "You're in good hands."
