A serious and stoic dragon, Gruffen prefers to keep to himself, though he's not hesitant to leap to a clanmate's defense. His behavior seems more like a Guardian rather than a Ridgeback, but he's never considered a breed scroll. Only his sister Blaze ever sees his more personable
side, with the two often going hunting together. He often trains alone, sometimes taking his familiar with him as his sparring partner. Despite his stony demeanor, he has a soft spot for felines and may be seen feeding strays some of his leftover fish when he thinks no one is looking.
