~Forced to fight~

Ragnonis was born during a time of war. Hatchlings were bought and sold at alarming rates to be trained and fed into the all consuming battlefields that ravaged the area. He fought the system with all his power; he knew he was more sensitive than the average member of his breed, and practically begged to not have to fight in the battle that wasn't his. Training had been brutal enough on him, one fight in particular causing him to lose one of his four antenna, and he had no intention of finding out what other appendages he could lose.

However, Despite he pleas, he was thrust into battle and given no other directives save from kill and don't be killed. And from the moment he stepped onto the battlefield, he could feel everything. Ragnonis could feel the pain; The agony of others awaiting their deaths, the turmoil of his comrades wondering who'd be next. He could feel the pain physically as well, and it was all the more difficult for him to move forward. The toll it took on his body and mind was something of a nightmare as every motion took more out of him than the last.

And than he saw her. A small, Teenage Fae who'd been crushed by the debris of the fight. He'd gone to her, to see if he could help, and her eyes followed him as he came near. He nudged her gently, and she told him to move on. Being somewhat stubborn, He stayed, not wanting her last moments to be spent alone. She told her story briefly; Her family, her to-be mate, being separated. The whole lot. And She smiled, thanking him for listening to her; He felt the sudden emptiness of her heart stopping. He felt the last trickles of deep sorrow leave her as her Fiery eyes closed.

Ragnonis hit his limit. He ground his teeth as he felt a sharp, burning pain in his head; digging his claws into the dirt for some semblance of stability. A wave of tremors ran through his body while the pain in his head increased. Suddenly, his vision went white, and a crackling was heard as the pain in his head nearly tripled. He collapsed on the ground beside his deceased companion; and deep crack running down the middle of the gem on his forehead.

~Instability~

When he Woke, Ragnonis was surrounded by barred walls with only small sources of food and water placed in a corner. He was in a prison of some sort, and was contemplating and escape when he was confronted by a very large Imperial. The Male told him he was in a holding cell as a precaution; they'd been wary of the newly developed crack in his gem, and were unsure of his reactions. He'd had flashback, then, and remembered the physical pain he'd only barely endured.

The Memory of the pain took hold and a throbbing ache ran through his body. He ground his teeth as he made an effort to mentally subdue the pain, but it became to much and he began firing shots all throughout the room in attempt to relieve some of the building pressure in his head and gut. But the pressure failed to fade, and soon he found himself gnawing on the bars, trying to get out to find some way of relieving the pain.

Having seen enough, the Imperial knocked him out; a clean blow to the head, but not enough to hurt him. It was then that Ragnonis was taken to an underground Facility with heavily reenforced walls and security. The Adolescent Skydancer would spend a month here, being tested and having medical teams work on his gem. Or so was the intent.

Every time he woke, he'd start hearing the voices of the dying dragons he'd been surrounded by during his short time as a soldier. He would once again feel their pains, physical and emotional, and would go into rampages trying to free himself from their grasp. Even the waves of anger and frustration coming from the team working on him was enough to set him off. They'd resorted to Medicating him through IV when he was out, but his body rejected all the Medication they'd give him.

It wasn't long before they deemed him a lost cause, and he was sent to an asylum where he'd be kept for the rest of his days. Or so they thought. Ragnonis had stirred awake during transport, and before anyone could get ahold of him, he'd disappeared into Shadow Territory.

~A new Home~

Having run from his captors, and wandered into lands unknown to him, Ragnonis found himself weak and tiring quickly. This made him vulnerable, and although his focus was skewed by his previous fit of rage, He tried his hardest to maintain notice of his surroundings.

This worked for all of about 5 minutes before he found himself knocked across the murky dark woods by a sudden burst of wind. Opening his eyes to see he'd been blown into the bare branches of a tree, Ragnonis was about to send a string of curses to the world when he heard the loud crackling of Fallen tree limbs under a massive paw. The sound came closer until he found himself looking up at an Adult Imperial nearly four times his size. And if this Males size wasn't daunting enough, his voice was loud and deep enough to chase away even the toughest of beasts.

The Imperial didn't seem to pick up on Ragnonis at first, but a wrong move caused the branch he was perched on to snap, and he landed on the Imperials foot. For a moment, neither moved, until the Imperial bought his foot up to a higher tree, allowing Ragnonis to climb on before bringing his head down to look at the young Skydancer. "You don't belong out here, kid."
