Biography

Kyanite

Gemstone dragon of the Twilight Circle
Quote:
When he was found, Kyan was extremely weak, so they took him into make sure he would survive. He was named after the gemstone, and while he is getting better, even Syrle. - the one who knows the most about this stuff, cannot tell what his state will be. It is planned to give him to the Shadowbinder if he doesn't get better. He is also considered a gemstone dragon, due to his markings and appearance.

Two things fire doesn't mix well with are water and shadow.

Originally born in fire, there was a big debate if he would be sent off to the Flameforger like the rest of his siblings, due to the fact they were all born weak.
He was the strongest.
They had sent him off to an orphanage instead, where the Twilight Circle had adopted him. They were well aware of his condition, but took him in, not wanting to see him get exalted just like that.

The shadow region didn't help, as shadow dragons are generally overpowering towards fire dragons. Regardless he accepted and was given to Syrle for healing.
Water dragons are almost just as bad as shadow dragons in that regard.

Slowly he became stable as Syrle helped him, giving him remedies. No one knew why he was so weak, and there were even rumours of him being sent off anyways.

"You're a gemstone dragon, right?"
Syrle asked him one day. Kyan nodded towards her. Glancing at him, she said, "That may be why you are like this. I've looked through some files, and it seems that gemstone dragons are more prone to being born weaker, I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault! I'M sorry. You've been doing your best for nothing!"
Kyan let out a sigh of defeat - he was good as exalted right now, it was only a matter of time.

Syrle shook her head and smiled. "If you want to leave, by all means it's your choice, but I was going to offer to give you a spot at being my apprentice."

Spirits lifted, Kyan nodded. "I'd love to! Maybe I can even find something about gemstone dragons!"

Since that day, he has worked hard as Syrle's apprentice, and is glad she's taught him everything he knows.

Personality

Kyan is dedicated. He feels like he hasn't to work extra hard or he'll be kicked out, even if the rest of the clan would never do that.

Bonds

He is Syrle's apprentice in medicine

Misc. info
