The Altus Pearl is more cautious in his search for the Shade than his mate. He believes in the cause whole-heartedly, but is very much aware how manic they may seem to those who disregard the existence of the Shade as myth and legend. Sycamore prefers a quiet approach to their investigation rather than Echinacea's bold questions and exclamations. People tend to be more forthcoming if they don't think you're deranged and paranoid.
