Paranight was brought to the Ashen Lexicon from the Fire flight for her reknown matchmaking abilities. After Slateslush was exiled from the clan, she was supposed to find Starless a new mate. Unfortunately, she ended up falling in love with him instead. She hopes to win them over Starless' children eventually and be as much a part of their lives as Slateslush is.
Now that Slateslush has returned and the romance between her and Starless are reignited, Paranight feels somewhat out of place. She is trying her best to keep her relationships with everyone- Slateslush included- favorable, for if Paranight were ever banished, she would again be left with nowhere to turn.

Slateslush is Starless' first mate. She was outcast from the Ashen Lexicon for over a year due to a disagreement on how to deal with rulebreaking clan members. Paranight desires to befriend her, but she has made it clear the feeling is not mutual.
