Biography

Back at square one, he was- back with the same faces and stones and scales as he’d been stuck with since he was hatched. Great. His little foray off into another clan had been such a big adventure, such a big undertaking- he’d learned so much from it! A change of place had been so lovely. His claws scratched against the cave floor quietly, leaving little white furrows in the stone. The sky above was clear, starry, perfect for flying and calling out into the night. But no, he had to be good and proper to impress General, had to be the best little hatchling and get the cleanest kills. He scoffed into the night air, breath fogging even though his mask. He knew he was just playing into his father’s claws, but he’d show him- he’d be better than his father ever could have hoped to be. That old lizard wasn’t going to know what had hit him by the time Colonel was done stealing his kills away.
story by: Finian

Colonel was brought up to be an assassin just like his father, he was the first born of his fathers children and felt like he wasn't treated fairly. His father was a rather rough, quiet, and secluded man, he had trouble showing his feelings to others. It was how he was raised. It didn't help him in raising his son. Once when Colonel was a young hatchling he ran away to another clan, he stayed there 5 days before being found and returned to his family. His punishment was to stay in the lair for rest of his days, but his mother talked his father out of that. He liked his mother, she was sweet, she treated him well. She gave him a stuffed plush of the Shadowbinder when he hatched, it became an item of comfort to him. None of that mattered now, he wasn't a little hatchling anymore. He was grown, old enough to leave the clan and start his own. He didn't. He tries to say he left the clan but he always comes back saying, "I needed a place to rest," or, "I was hungry and couldn't find anything to eat". He doesn't want to be affiliated with the clan his father is in. He refuses to be like him. He wants to be better than him. Better than any assassin his father ever could be. Someday, someday he'll show him. He'll show his father that he's the best, he will bring about his end.
