HISTORY
Moryana knew something of devotion, watching her father peering into the abyss every day, awaiting that which he treasured so much. Destiny was not some happenstance or myth to her, but a fact of life and living. Her birth family, the Steel Crest Clan, was understanding when she left home in search of a charge of her own.

The guardian explored Sornieth for the next few years, visiting different locales and learning more about the world, trying to fill some primal yearning planted within her long before she was hatched. Something in her told her to stick to the waters.

On her journey she nearly met death--had her weakened body not washed up among the roots of the Viridian Labyrinth. Her savior--a dark tundra with brilliant green eyes named Selvans--pulled her from the mud and brackish water. As heir to a hidden tribe of wetlands shamans, he took it upon himself to nurse her to health in spite of his station.

Moryana spoke of her journey and her longing for something more, and he understood. When the urge to seek, to defend, to go was strong, he understood it too.

She saw something of devotion, then, in Selvans' eyes. They left the Viridian Labyrinth together, and have remained so ever since.

The pull in her heart grew when she reached the waters surrounding the Windswept Plateau. Her charge was not a singular thing, but a family--a maren colony in alliance with a neighboring Wind clan. Moryana gladly swore fealty to them and to Clan Cloud Brush that day, with the request that she remain able to care for her charge.
