Arcane energy tingled lightly as it left the scroll and absorbed into his body.

The transformation brought a strange, but painless sensation that tickled as if a million buzzing fireflies were prancing around inside his DNA. The warm wash of magic coated his form, and he excitedly braced for the welcomed change.

Feelings of fuzzy-fireflies danced from his nose, to his shoulders, and down his spine. Clumps of scales on his hide thickened, his tail plumped, and he was suddenly feeling much heavier. The room seemed to drop as his limbs shortened, lowering his stance significantly... and a number of fins began to sprout along the back of his head...??

No, that's not right!
Something was very wrong.


It was changing him, but not into the elegant but fierce Wildclaw he'd been dreaming of.

Not only had the scroll been some kind of forgery, but it was a poorly-made one as well; mutating him into a Bogsneak of all things!
He stared down at the depleted scroll (now just a simple blank roll of paper) crumpled under chubby new Bogsneak claws. Was it... larger than before?

No, that wasn't it, he knew as much when he realized that all of his surroundings were what was bigger than before. The forgery was so poor that it hadn't even stopped at mutating him into a Bogsneak, no, it was worse than that...!

It had shrunk him down to the size of a Fae.

Well, he certainly got what he paid for. Perhaps even more than he bargained.
