Biography

LILLITH
High Priestess of the Fane Primordium

“Do not fear the dark. It is as much a cloak to you as to your enemies.”

How Lillith came to reside in the city’s dilapidated temple is a tale unknown; her ‘citizenship’ predates Arethusa’s arrival within the crumbling walls, and scant few of the original inhabitants are still around. The slumdwellers tread carefully around the hardy Imperial priestess, believing that how she came to the city is less important than how she managed to remain there among thieves and brigands with no qualms about driving out or imprisoning any other loiterers. As far as they’re concerned, the old priestess and her mate can only have survived by being even more dangerous than their neighbors, and it should be left at that.

What she does within the once magnificent Fane Primordium is a mystery. Most only ever see her outside its walls or on the fringes of the property, too nervous to attempt breaching the temple proper. Maven seems to have been appointed to deal with all who come to snoop, but neither he nor Lillith ever answer any questions about what happens behind the frescoed facades.

It’s said that she’s seeking something–or someone–very dear to her, lost many years ago…
