B I O G R A P H Y

Born to Queen Pearl at the beginning of her rule, Opal was lain and hatched in the Tangled Wood with her brother, Bee. Though when her father, Czar Simon, began to threaten her and her mother, Opal was swept away by Pearl to return to the Starwood Strand.

The Akashaa soon moved, and upon their move into Light, encountered an Emperor. While Opal was hardly twenty, she decided that she must bond with her clan if she was ever to rule. Despite the her mother's and the Aerial Corps' Commandant Sona's insistence, Opal took up arms, earning her the title, "warrior princess". This would hold true for the War, where Opal would fight as a leader and even slay her own blood, her father, beheading him.

The War did not officially begin until after Opal's brilliant espionage at her father's palace. Upon receiving a letter, Opal went to go and investigate the rumor of her father's mistresses. While Simon having affairs is arguably the reason war broke out, Opal and Pearl declared it over the abuse of children in Simon's twisted ring of terminally ill mistresses. The two clans warred fairly passively until Simon forcibly occupied the Akashaa palace upon hearing of Pearl's infidelity to him that had resulted in twins, Ivory and Alabaster, the latter having been disguised as Bee's son. This resulted in Pearl's final pregnancy, and the Lost Prince, Steffan, and Porcelain.
While the scheme to protect the children from Simon ultimately failed, Opal went to save her remaining two siblings from her father. Simon clearly didn't see reason, so, Opal slayed him, thus ending the war. Opal returned home to fight for the new reign, which ultimately ended in her as a "left-wing princess", which basically removed her from ever receiving the throne. She is, however, content to advise her sister, and raise her children with her mate, Asphodel, whom used to be one of Simon's mistresses.
