Friendly and open-hearted, Marina is one of the clan's researchers. Unafraid to ask for help, she will involve herself in every project to gain even a tiny bit of experience, because she is naturally curious and wants to know how things work. Young and somewhat impetuous, some describe her as having a bleeding heart, but under pressure, her decisions are quick, sharp, and steady. She makes a deadly enemy and a loyal friend.

Marina's moral standards are very high, and she holds all her fellow clan members to the same standards. This sometimes causes friction between her desire to make everyone happy and her desire to maintain her integrity. She's not afraid to admit she doesn't know something, but she will argue until her last breath for something she believes in.

Despite being a Lightning dragon, Marina's magical strength lies primarily in water magic. She can create, shape, and control water at will, and this can also include localized weather systems of rain, fog, or storms.

Rynu is Marina's mate, an old friend of hers who once was a member of a cult with dark, evil intentions. She waited for him when he left her, promising that it was for her own safety, and fought to free him when she found he had been taken - the original clan is a testimony to this, because they were the first members of her army to save him and destroy the cult that had stolen him.
