Sundance is a twice-born princess in her own right, and a beauty born on the night of Samhain, to Princess Goldanna and Prince Sunsoot II (who is, importantly, NOT her lifemate. It's a very King Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot situation). The Imperial Sunsoot had long held a torch for the gentle skydancer, and aggrieved that she had been so coldly dismissed by her lifemate, Solus, who himself was so afflicted with grief and trauma that he shied away from everything he had once so loved. It was during one of Solus' long battle campaigns, after years of isolation and loneliness, that Goldanna sought solace in the arms of her closest companion, the Clan Protector.
The lovers soon came to their senses however, when Sundance was born. It had been a happy dream until then, now it was a dangerous reality. Knowing what the treachery would do to Solus, and with Goldanna still very much loyal in her heart, the lovers hid their daughter away until they could acquire a spell to alter her appearance, so that her damning similarity to her true father would not be discovered. Unfortunately, the black-market dealer they bought the 'spell' off, conned them and did not give them a gene scroll, but a skin, which adhered to the young Skydancer and now cannot ever be removed without quite possibly killing her, because as she grew, her skin cracked and split, tears appearing deep in her flesh and she has nearly bled to death a few times. Years, tears, and a great deal of magic later, and she has grown into an adult with a hide as impenetrable and as cold as crystal, but in some lights- like dusk- she can see through the surface to her own beautiful skin underneath, the hide of her father which marked her as 'wrong' to the world, still completely 'right' in her own eyes.

-Watercolour artist, illuminator of manuscripts and stained-glass artisan. She loves how light can pass through glass, how it can change its nature.
-She's quite independent, partly because she hates how dragons gossip, and she's always been the target of rumours and whispers. She didn't understand until much later, why her mother wouldn't let her play with the other hatchlings, why she was kept away in the forest so much of her yougng life. She became quite a dragonwatcher, and still prefers to watch from the sidelines than to engage others.

Looks rather intimidating, but is actually the quiet, strong, gentle type
Lives on the outskirts of clan, as she likes to be left alone with her thoughts
Enjoys spending time with her familiar watching the sunset, and finds this a better use of her time than ‘socializing’ or going to parties
Has an expansive personal library where she spends most of her time, either reading or painting the view. It’s her favourite place
Collects seaglass and uses it to decorate the terrariums she keeps on her windowsill, sometimes she hangs it from the ceiling, so the coloured glass scatters the light in a rainbow spectrum across her den
Is a well trained fighter, but rarely uses it outside of her practices, the ability to defend herself does improve her confidence, though
Born into royalty, but doesn’t like talking about it, as she has a complete disregard for blood status and finds it petty.
Normal outfit was stolen by Goldentop when Sundance was bathing, so that Goldentop could go off on an adventure incognito. Then the outfit was eaten by a giant, during said adventure. Sundance is extremely angry about this.
