"When the sun burns through all that you were, all that you have done, and the soot falls away- what is left will either be ash, or diamond."
His father, Sunsoot, is the leader of an ally of Sunsoot II’s current clan and a renowned fighter. While his father's entry into leadership was not smooth, he since created a name for himself and all his family line. These noble Imperials are known for their strength and sense of justice and fairness. Their honor was sung about by many and their counsel sought out. Sunsoot II under a father who was responsible for bringing his clan to greatness, and naturally it was expected that his son continue that legacy.

Sunsoot the First was a figure to admire and aspire to follow in his paws, but Sunsoot II found himself craving more than simply being his father’s son. He was a valiant soldier, skilled strategist, and an impressive leader, but it was all under the tutelage of his father that he felt he succeeded and it was evident in how the dragons of his hatchplace would speak about or to him. As such, when he came of an age where he could be independent and the itch to spread his wings was entirely too great, he begged his father for an assignment that would take him away from the lair and to new lands and wild adventures. His father acquiesced with a sigh and began to seek out arrangements, finding an allied clan which was eager to accept more dragons, especially the esteemed son of Sunsoot.

So, without further ado, Sunsoot II grabbed the few belongings he would be able to take with him, flying off to this new lair and leaving behind the home of his youth. His father sent him off with a bold proclamation that he would surpass himself and continue their legacy of greatness.

The Oakheart Clan
l3kRBf2.png
The Oakheart Clan had just begun, hardly any other dragons besides the founders and a few dragons who had found their way into this new lair. But this small clan deep within the Gladekeeper’s realm had long been allied with Sunsoot. The leaders of the clan welcomed Sunsoot II eagerly, glad to have the son of such an esteemed fighter and leader in their midst. It seemed only natural that Sunsoot II take the lead in the clan’s defenses...

He didn’t know how difficult it would be to lead without his wise father to seek counsel from. Patrols were sloppy and some dragons’ personal belongings were stolen, leaving Sunsoot II scrambling to recover from his mistake. Youth and wisdom don’t always mix, and so when thieves continued to raid the clan, Sunsoot II rallied the dragons and trained with them, learning how to best utilize the assets of each dragon so that the next time someone tried to attack, they left with singed scales and defeat. Slowly but surely, Sunsoot II was learning and improving his leadership skills.

Since then, Sunsoot II had made it his goal to learn how to best serve the clan’s leaders as the clan’s protector, stepping up to his father’s mantle and donning the armor of a proud warrior. With the confidence of success bolstering him, he carries himself proudly, no longer just the son of Sunsoot, but now the protector of Oakheart. His bright scales shine like his pride as he steadily comes into his own. He is one of the oldest members of the Oakheart Clan, and while it’s not where he hatched, he considers it his home through and through.

Sunsoot II collects watercolours, things with beautiful colours and shapes- less about realism, more about realism of emotion, thoughts, movement, memory, impressions. If a dragon compliments one of them, they'd best be prepared for an entire afternoon of an enthusiastic guided tour of each and every one of them.
