Biography

THE FORGOTTEN CROWN
━ OUTSKIRTS ━

Considered a failure since childhood, Gisuja has harbored resentment toward his family and the Court of Thorns for most of his life. Nothing he did was ever good enough for his mother, whose adoration he yearned for but would never receive. When it became known his magic was faulty, Tyasathe all but disowned him. Gisuja's magic had developed volatile tendencies due to using too much of it when he was very young; now it either doesn't work when he needs it to, or it is likely to explode. All the more reason to avoid using it beyond low-level exercises to keep it in check.

This anger culminated in an attempted coup of Court leadership when it looked like his elder brother, Doseibi, would be chosen as the next leader. In the end, Gisuja lost his right arm when his mother caught onto his plans. He would have lost his life if not for his brother's pleas for mercy, to kick him out of the fey realm and live at the mercy of dragons and beastclans.

That was where he met Kyr'bes, who has been looking out for him since.

Being trapped outside of the fey realm has made it more difficult to use his magic at all, and has left Gisuja trapped in a bipedal form that almost always is seen as some new form of beastclan, which tends to make him angry. Kyr'bes has so far been lucky enough to be around when he tries to start fights and has been able to calm him back down.
