Biography

Cursed Flight was not the only dragon to have dabbled before we developed birdmasks. When Phantom inspired others to begin looking where weak fools don't dare. Unfortunately, we soon learned that when you tinker in these beautiful arts, that you open your mind to many other things. Eagle here nearly lost his mind to a wraith that he was studying how to control. The thing already existed, which spoiled the fun of making it, but we felt it was a worthwhile endeavor, anyway. After a few weeks of looking for a cure, Phantom suggested that we try placing a birdskull on him. After a few days, he seemed relatively safe from the spirit's wrath, only reporting whispers now and again. We decided that it would be best that everyone who works with traditionally forbidden magic to wear the masks. Eventually, they became a sort of symbol of the dark arts core, and I must admit that they generally look charming, very appropriate for dark magisters
