An arrogant young dragon, still learning his trade.

Joakim is involved with the more spiritual activities of the clan as he is in training to become the smoke reader and main incense maker of the clan, both important and prestigious jobs.

Due to his choice of occupation, NightBreeze is one of his mentors, teaching him how to properly interpret the Shade. He is one of the very few dragons who actually enjoys spending time with her. He doesn't care of her creepier side and shares a closeness that most dragons find disturbing with her.

The smoke he spends a lot of time around with his job seems to collect around him, writhing upon his skin and creating shapes. Other dragons say they are the remnants of the future he has seen in his job as smoke reader. Joakim laughs this off and dismisses it as nonsense. Yet any dragon noticed to be peering at his skin just a little too closely is likely to get their face clawed. Seems whatever the smoke remnants are, he doesn't wish to share them.


Joakim enjoys woodcarving as a hobby and can often be seen carving wood in his free time. He likes to work with small objects and is able to handle them with the most delicate care. If only he could extend that care to other dragons. His arrogance is the only thing that most dragons sense from him and his clumsy and inconsiderate remarks don't improve the situation and as such he has few friends. Sometimes Joakim feels disappointment and loneliness from this, however he never makes any attempt to improve himself or remedy the situation, instead choosing to blame others for their completely reasonable dislike of him.
