A sailor down to her very bones, those who know Cassidy Hawke - and information about her is almost always secondhand, considering how rare it is to see her on land - often say that she was born to live on the sea. The first-hatched of a pair of rare twin heirs, Cassidy was a source of pride to the Marquis Hawke, who often proclaimed that she was his spitting image. Cassidy thrived in the attention, and took to the shipyards at a young age. While her brother spent his time in the Light Courts learning politics, she learned seafaring from trusted sailors of the Hawke fleet, and would eventually grow to spend all her time there. After her father married the Serenity patriarch, her visits home grew less frequent until they finally stopped.

Like her twin, Cassidy can only be described as fearless, though perhaps less deliberately so.
