Baba Yo is not just a bog witch, she is the Bog Witch. Through careful magic and the folding of space, she has managed to build her hovel so that it floats in most all bogs at once. You may enter through any door, but you are not guaranteed the same exit- and as is well known, some bogs are friendlier than others. She does not much care for visitors, and it is not uncommon for some poor fool to enter through a bright door, only to exit into a pool of hungry caiman and toridae. It’s best to be polite while you visit.

Given her testy personality and less than gracious hosting skills, one might wonder why anyone bothers to visit Baba at all. As was said before, Baba is the Bog Witch, and greater than her reputation for spite and petty cruelty, is the reputation of her bone charms.

It is said that with the proper offerings, Baba Yo will carve you a charm to fulfill your dearest of dreams. Charms for love, charms for luck, and charms to curse are her most popular creations, but she has made more esoteric charms as well- charms that, when buried in the center of a field or grove, promise a rich and bountiful harvest free of insects. Charms that ensure a speedy recovery, or the slowing of age, or immunity to poison. Pricey, but valuable- even though some come with hideous side-effects. Rumor has it that one intrepid young adventurer went to Baba for a charm that would win her any duel- what she didn’t know when she took it was that the cost for such magic would be the loss of a claw for each cheated fight. Accounts vary as to what the adventurer started losing when she ran out of them. None are pleasant.
