Born within a rare forest in the Greatwyrm Breach, Druantia's origins were mostly humble. The daughter of the clan's tundra messenger, Alpine, and the clan gardener, Peony, Druantia always harbored an interest in the growth cycle of plants. Her earliest memories tend to be of helping her mother within the clan's gardens, plodding around gently and carefully to avoid the growing herbs and vegetables, and helping attend to tasks such as watering and weeding. It was during these long days that the young tundra felt her calling would always be to remain in the hidden forest and help her mother with the clan's prosperous harvest. Fate had other plans for this gardener's daughter and in time the young tundra began to hear things that no other could seem to. Voices whispering from flowers and from vines, sweet symphonies of songs from birds and trees alike, and gentle burbling melodies from the few streams and rivers that ran through the forest providing life. So enticing were these melodies that Druantia's parents often found her miles from home near sundown from simply following the lulling songs. Worried for their daughter, the pair gifted her an enchanted scarf to always lead her home again. Home, however, was a very subjective word and the young tundra often found that the scarf led her farther into the woods and away from the clan's dwellings rather than back to them.

It was during one of these adventures that Druantia wandered a bit farther than she meant to. Her first reaction was to attempt to use her scarf; however, it simply led her deeper into the woods. Uncertain what else to do, the young tundra followed the tug of her scarf and of the trees, following them until she reached the edge. Nervous, she once again tried to turn back, but the scarf tugged her onward. Onward through the plague lands, skirting the worst of the diseases by sheer luck, and through the shadow-drenched trees of the Tangled Wood. Many times the scarf caught, but Druantia found she was hardly afraid. The trees of the Wood were different but yet in a sense familiar to her. The creatures rarely bothered her, and the plants she found were tasty even if they had a weird smell or taste that lingered slightly. Finally, her travels led the young tundra to the heart of the lands of the Sunbeam Ruins. Giant pillars made the forests here, and ancient ruins of cities from centuries past lined most paths that led deeper into the territory. Still, her scarf tugged her onward until at last it stopped. Here, she'd stumbled upon what appeared to be a still pocket of time, a wall of invisible force that seemed to self-contain a great blizzard and sunny afternoon all in one. Wary though she was, Druantia was tired, and there was something familiar in the way the barrier whispered to her in it's own way. 'Come' it seemed to say, 'Come and rest sweet child'. Exhausted, she stumbled through the magic into a sunny afternoon where dragons of a troupe were moving back and forth in their daily tasks.

Few took notice of her as she began her wanderings within the troupe, though a young skydancer soon noticed her and drew her out of the way. Upon listening to her soft and slow explanation of how she'd come to be simply wandering through the troupe's lands, he'd taken her to meet the leaders of the lands, a tundra couple who'd smiled at her fondly and offered her a place to stay in exchange for her story. Tired though she was, Druantia explained again, and again as more of the troupe was drawn to her tale. In time, the skydancer whose name was Baldr drew her away to find a place to settle in. Though she hardly had any intention of staying long, Druantia has never felt the tug of the scarf again except on the rare occasions her duties within the troupe require her to leave their time-warped lands. These days she works mostly in quiet sections of the sun-filled fields, cultivating plants for the growing tundra population and helping many of her companions find good places to establish fruit trees and bushes.

Baldr, her first friend and eventual mate, chose to take the form of a tundra to be closer to her and can be found lounging with many of the troupe's hatchlings surrounding him on the long sunny afternoons in her gardens.
