He hatched from a frozen egg on the day the color wheel expanded, a basic Mirror in copper and aqua. The Lusitania Lair was an interesting place, rather moist and there were many who claimed no parents so he was not alone there. There were even quite a few who hatched on the same day he had hatched. Perhaps that was why, when the offer came from Moonlit Nyyt Weyr, that he approached his Lair Spirit and explained that he had been offered the chance for a breed change and genes, but he had to leave his first home in order to do it.
Permission was granted. He flew across the largest of the lakes toward his new weyr. Wyldyrn met him and showed him his new home and introduced him to several of his new neighbors. They were also in line for some changes but it turned out, his colors were very much appreciated by Lair Spirit Emberglo so his breed change happened almost immediately.
Hie new mate, CopperFox, settled down next to him. Once they became accustomed to their new appearance they would decide how they could best help this Weyr and their new clan, Clan Nyytfen.
Nugget named his familiar after a town that is known for its history and for copper. Bisbee likes the sound of her new name.
