Biography
Lost Soul
Can anyone truly say what happens to the shattered fragments of a lost soul? Lyra watches the shards, the energy crackling in the air. If she watches well enough, still enough, they come to her, like tiny frightened butterflies seeking shelter from a gale. What else could she do but catch the tiny things, bottle them up, and take them home?
Who would have thought that the bright, lively light she found would lead her to a new clan? Lyra has never really known other dragons. The few she met while wandering always moved on after a while. It's strange to have others around her, but not bad. She's befriended the mirror Greldort, thanks in part to their shared elemental heritage, and sometimes speaks with the imperial Eyvindr; his soul shone with strange and lovely colors inside her jar, but she is glad she could return it. Dragons are better conversationalists than lost lights. She sees Eyvin with Farran and Elatha occasionally, but she's too shy to approach either one of them yet. They shine so very bright.
Lyra finds herself most drawn to Iah, though, the follower of Sussuri (she cannot bring herself to say son, whatever Iah may claim). He was a bright star, a powerful soul, when she met him as a guardian on what looked like a fresh battlefield. He sought her aid to call back Sussuri's soul; knowing what she knows now, Lyra sometimes wonders if she would have agreed back then. If she had not aided him then, perhaps he would have hated her, but that would have been better than what has happened to him. Poor tattered soul. Poor tattered boy.
For now, she will remain at his side. At least she can try to mend the harm from her mistake.
