Enchanted Gargoyle
A gargoyle brought to life, rumor has it that she came from the Observatory itself, though Basah just shrugs when asked. Arcane magic has been known to do some very strange things to architecture. Her Earth eyes raise a few doubts about her origins, though, so perhaps she came from Dragonhome? Geomancy isn't all that rare in the north, and she may be the result of a wayward spell. Whatever the answer, Basah ended up in the Tavern of the Southern Star, or more accurately on its roof, and she intends to stay there. Several dragons in the clan have started visiting her, since she has proved quite knowledgeable if one is patient and doesn't pry too much. Basah only shares what she feels her listener is ready for. This has proved quite frustrating for several of the more confident would-be mages. If someone presses too much after she refuses them, though, the gargoyle falls silent for days on end, which is quite a problem for her other students. One of the only things apparently able to coax her out of her silence are hatchlings; Basah is absolutely charmed by the concept of miniature dragons, but has no idea how to react around them. Being made of stone means she's very strong. It's rather funny to watch her move around them as she tries very hard to rein in her strength. She and Sombra have actually bonded over their shared awkwardness with hatchlings, and can occasionally be seen trying to play with them together, or trading tips on dealing with the little creatures.
