He was originally an Earth dragon visiting the Fire realm to deliver unique gems and stones for a joint project, a crown of the most precious stones and metals, which he jokingly called his "crowning achievement." On his way through the fire realm, a deep tremor shook the earth and split the ground, creating geysers of lava all around him. Euphonium attempted to escape, but fell into a pool a lava when chunks of stone knocked him from the air. A nearby fire dragon, Gong, used her magic in an attempt to save him. Instead, it preserved his bones (now able to withstand any heat) and utilized the lava to form his body. Even though the lava cooled on the surface to give him the physical look of the dragon, the molten lava courses through his entire body. He was rejected by his mate and family, considering him dead as soon as he was engulfed by the heat. Feeling lost and alone, Euphonium was instead welcomed by Gong, who felt in a part of her heart that his pain of living this second life was all her fault. They now work together in blacksmithing tasks and ambassador duties. Euphonium is a strong-willed dragon, ready to fight at a moment's notice for the aid of another or simply for glory and prestige. It is not to say that he is quick to argue or is a combative personality - he is a warm, bold soul that simply enjoys that heat of battle and stands up for justice. |
