Sirocco [suh-rok-oh]
Named after a warm, sultry south or southeast wind accompanied by rain, occurring in the same regions.
Sirocco is a robot built by his companions Simoun and Khamsin as a defensive tank for their team. They figured that using him as a shield was better than trying to bob and weave out of the way of hostiles and damaging themselves. While he is completely animatronic and doesn't seem to feel or have any type of consciousness, Simoun and Khamsin still treat him like a true member of the team, and have grown rather fond of him. He makes himself useful by collecting and storing data (about their targets, those who hire them, and the locations they've traveled primarily), as a pack-mule by providing storage in his mostly hollow interior, and as a literal guardian whilst Khamsin and Simoun have their guard down, like when they sleep or bathe. He is primarily steam powered, but in a pinch can utilize a back-up power source that is fueled by eating and recycling scrap foods. Because of this, Khamsin and Simoun have found that alcohol is a great way to both bond with their robotic compatriot and keep his power supply up.
