She has an addiction to hunting. It started off with just Beastclans, and she would invent new, fun ways to hunt her pray. Using her own mind, she would trick them into falling right into her traps. Each successful hunt gave her a surge of accomplishment. However, she soon grew bored of her exploits after she hunted down and killed a Frost Delver. After she took down the massive beast, she'd rounded out her entire collection. Hunting then grew boring for her and she brew sullen and depressed. Ptera wallowed in self pity for a long time, trying to figure out what was next for her, until she came up with something new to hunt. Other dragons. She started with the hatchlings, but they were too easy to trick.. within a few months she was on to adult dragons, and enjoying every moment of her new species she could hunt. Unlike beastclans, Dragons were big, and tended to be clever, proving to be a far more difficult challenge for her, which only made her that much more proud when she finally succeeded in trapping them.

Some dragons are actively afraid of her because of her 'dragon hunting' tendencies. Though she made it a personal rule not to hunt those of her own clan, she has been tempted to hunt them more than one time.

After Lilith took over the clan, Ptera was overjoyed. Lilith brought in a small army of first generation dragons who were then possessed by demons. These new 'demons' probed to be an exciting new challenge for Ptera. She set upon becoming the master of hunting them as well, turning her eyes from hunting dragons to hunting the unknown evil.
