Nako had been travelling for a very long time; he was not a young dragon anymore. Companions had come and gone and now he was surrounded once again with a loyal and worthy clan. It was time for him to settle down once and for all. Sure, he'd told himself that last time, and maybe even the time before that, and it hadn't stuck. This time it would. It was time to go back to his original way of life - the way of the circus pirate. They would call themselves 'Lacrimae rerum', in sticking to tradition. The fact that the name included his favourite spirit was an added bonus. It was truly what they had become; tears of things.
| The trickiest part for his small brain had been figuring out exactly where he wanted to settle down. The world was a big place and there were so many tempting options. Personally, he still thought that somewhere near the wandering emperor would be the most exciting place, but the clan had already vetoed that, and he wouldn't like it if the big beastie came trampling on his spirits, figuratively and literally. |
Then he'd found Flotsam town, a place where clans who had been shattered had gathered to collect the pieces of themselves once more and become whole as a society. It was perfect, and what better place for a misshapen circus to bring some joy to the populace? Nako found a nice box that would suit his purposes nicely, floating just a little ways away from the main section of town. They would settle down, decorate, and then they would have their grand opening.
Everyone would love him, they'd bring him eggs as payment for his clan's services. He'd be the center of attention once again, in all their hearts and minds. It would be perfect.
He just needed somewhere to hide his grog.
