Angerona-Healer
Let me take your pain so you can heal.
The barnacled blue egg, washed up onto a golden shore, was found by Lancer on a sunny morning during the Wavecrest Saturnalia. It was alone, and unmoved from where it had washed up from the Spiral Keep. The dragonet curled up inside was unaware of the Mirror that picked up her egg, and carried it back to his home. She slumbered as the decision was made to hold off hatching her egg until the prophesized shift in the magical spectrum occurred. The egg was placed in an already laid nest, whose parents were Lancer and his mate Cienna.
At the time there was great excitement, as the Tidelord's prophecies spoke of the rainbow once again touching dragons, granting them new colours. There was a restless energy over the land, with many drakes postponing hatching ceremonies in hope that their hatchings would be blessed by this new magic. Oracles and seers all spoke of a time of great celebrations, a time of prosperity, once the rainbow returned. All dragons tuned to magic waited earnestly to feel the change, and when it came the land burst into celebration, just as the prophecies predicted. Many eggs finally hatched, with her egg among them.
A tiny Fae pushed her way out of the shell that encased her, her leathery hide coloured in pale pinks and purples, hues her tenders had never seen before. As she looked around with large blue eyes the dragon that had brought her egg to the clan scooped her, as well as his sons, into his arms. His mother came to look at the chicks, and as was her role as the clan's seer, named each of her grandsons. When it came to the Fae however it was Lancer who named her Angerona, for a creature that was said to protect from pain and sorrow. Angerona, or Rona as she was called by her foster parents, grew quickly. Before long she found her voice, which was unusually squeaky for a Fae, and was pestering the adults with questions about what it was like to travel the world. It was during this impressionable stage in her life she discovered she could sense emotions like a Skydancer, and her naturally powerful magic gave her the ability to take on the pain and sorrow of others to help relieve them of their suffering. Being a child of the Tidelord, who's egg itself was revived by him, she also had foresight. She had visions of future events, events that she could turn from a moment of tragedy to one of joy, allowing her to advert disaster.
Her abilities were of concern in the clan, as some viewed the powers as a curse, forcing her to grow up too quickly. To her, as these abilities were as much apart of her as her own wings, these powers were a gift, or as she called them a blessing from the Tidelord himself. Her optimistic view of the world makes her feel as though her abilities allow her to change the world for the better, and provide her with the determination necessary to do so. It also prevents her for becoming 'hung up' on things, allowing her to let go of the past, and past mistakes, with ease. She knows that not every terrible event can be prevented, and that without these moments of tragedy in life there would be no growth, so does not see the point of focusing on things that can not be changed.
As she aged she became more emotive and excitable, using her limbs and fins to speak as much as her voice. She could be found zipping after any dragon that offered to teach her new magical abilities, or help prepare her for when she finally left the clan to find her true home. With adolescence came a desire to wander, to explore. She was often found exploring the edges of the territory with her foster brother Honos, and setting up plans for how she would live outside the clan. In an effort to help her, her family sent her off to be taught in the arts of healing and magical defense, abilities her innate selflessness meant she was naturally gifted with. She was a dragon that would do anything to help and protect those around her, even if she didn't know them, and would give any dragon a second chance, so tutelage that gave her the ability to do so was welcome.
She was so sure that once she reached adulthood she would leave the metaphorical nest that when she actually did reach maturity and discovered she lacked this desire to leave, it confused her. It was only after she discussed this strange reluctance with her parents she realized that she was meant to be apart of this clan, and that her true home was the one she had been raised in. With this new found knowledge she set about improving her skills, and decided she would become a healer for the clan, using her natural gifts to be there for dragons that were suffering because of their past.
Her foster sister, another female Fae hatched from a revived egg like herself, is the dragon she is closest to, as she feels that they share much in common. She is also close to her parents, particularly Lancer, her grandparents and the rest of the extended family that makes up her clan. While she was still young her nephew, Akaan, started to follow her around. The young Fae was plagued by visions of battle, and she used her natural talents to help him. The hot headed young male in turn declared that he was her protector, and while they have become close, Angerona retains some distance in the relationship to prevent the aggressive youngster from putting himself into all kinds of danger.
She is a bright flame that can never be extinguished, burning with joy, with determination, with love for all those around her.
