Plateau

When he was born, he immediately stood out. Instead of boasting the vibrant colours Coatls normally did, he was dull. Being born dull was a downside, but his specific colouration made it worse. Living in the tangled woods for all of his life, he easily blent in.

"Hey can I-"
About to ask his father a question, the other coatl had zipped by without noticing him.
"Nevermind."

Growing older, he had constantly been ignored or overlooked. Instead of accepting it, he was having none of it.

"Mother?"
"Hold on I need help your brother get ready for -"
"MOTHER!"

"Alright. What do you want?"
There was never much love between the two of them. It had to somehwhat exist, yet it was never really displayed.

"You ALWAYS ignore me for my brothers. It's like you wouldn't care if I left!"
That wasn't his original question, just a harsh remark that had come to his mind once he saw he was being ignored. His mother looked at him, but as she started talking, he was already thinking over what he had said. Actually, maybe leaving wouldn't be so bad...
"Plateau, you know that's not true."

"Actually leaving might be a great idea. Maybe I'll find someone who actually notices me, and if not I'lll... I'll look after myself."

"Plateau! You know you can't do that. You're young, you're not even an adult yet! You wouldn't be able to! No - what clan would take you in?"

He was slightly taken aback by his mother's protests. Maybe I was wrong. However, as he heard the final sentence, his eyes widened. The slip up... Or rather, cover up!

"I think I'll be going if you think this will be the only place to accept me."
"Plateau -"
"NO!"

As he said that, his mother gasped.
"What?"
He asked, unimpressed.
"You've vanished."
"Wow you're so funny I'm rolling on the ground laughing and oh my deities I'm invisible."
As he looked down at himself, he saw nothing but the ground below him. He looked at his mother. The hostility between the two of them had momentarily vanished. If I'm going to leave, I guess here's my chance. Checking once more to make sure he was indeed invisible, he flew up to his mom, who didn't flinch. Guess I am invisible. He gave her a brief hug, no loner than a couple of seconds, then flew upwards.

For once, being invisible has its perks, he thought as he flew around. No one could see him, and he liked that. He was free to travel around now. He didn't know where though. Away from here at least. Maybe even out of the region, at least I won't blend in - if I was visible that is.

He had been flying for a few hours non stop. He had yet to leave the Tangled woods, and he was hungry. I know the next region over is water, maybe I could go there? They've got to have a lot of fish at least.

Landing on the ground, he looked around. He was very much still in the Tangled Woods.
He was also lost.

Plateau knows what he wants. As a hatchling, he was very vocal as to his needs as he was often neglected. Now as an adult, he is still someone who complains. He isn't cowardly and won't back down during combat.

As the head fighter, he dislikes it when people don't listen to him.
